#08 What if style icons in history… met the iconic Dubeliè bags? (Part II)
Hello Dubeliane!
I'm Sara, thank you for those of you who read the seventh article of the Dubeliè Blog, in which I told you about two very virtuous women of international fame and exceptional social relevance: Audrey Hepburn and Lady D!
And, speaking of them and their very well-known style image, I thought I'd suggest two iconic Dubeliè models who could perfectly match their interests and brilliant personalities.
The goal, as always, is to show you that it is not necessary (and no… not even if you are a maxi celebrity, like them!) to wear designer bags to be considered in step with the times, fashion-savvy or with a strong style. Dubeliè's message is that the accessory must not overwhelm the woman but, on the contrary, accompany her movements and fully reflect her personality. This is the definition of style that my brand brings forward: less huge logos slapped on anonymous garments, more authentic pieces, that tell the story of the person wearing them and, why not, tell one of their own.
Today I thought I'd show you two more faces of great women and great female minds, plus a bonus, which will act as a spoiler for the next Dubeliè bag coming soon. I warn you: you're not ready!
1. Marilyn Monroe
Breathtaking curves, a bright carmine red on her lips and blonde curls recognizable from space.
Who doesn't know the wonderful Marilyn Monroe? With a tormented sensitivity and a thousand talents, she earned space in every corner of show business with a seductive but firm, delicate but decisive, empathetic but not frivolous manner.
We trace the maxim "Identify your fashion attitude and stick to it" back to her: we understand how it was essential for the Hollywood star to recognize her own expressive style which, in this case, was often proposed in very tight clothes, aimed at proudly highlighting those curves that, at the time, were hidden in constrictive bodices and reshaping stockings, but not only that.
Because for Marilyn, highlighting her silhouette meant showing the truest and most carnal part of herself, without judging or compressing it. This also explains why, both in public and in private, the actress preferred simple clothes (she was crazy about turtlenecks!), one-color and traditional: because it was her personality that had to speak for her, not her clothes and, certainly, not the journalists, because she was the one who dictated the rules.
For a provocative, strong-minded and impetuous woman like Marilyn, the Dubeliè bag that highlights her characteristics is undoubtedly MIRELLA. With a sober, sophisticated and traditional design, as Monroe would have wanted, it does not overwhelm the wearer, but communicates elegance and attention to detail.
2. Beyonce
Singer, actress, dancer… but is there anything that Beyoncé doesn’t do or doesn’t know how to do? No. Because even in her role as a women’s rights activist (a role that cannot be said to belong to all members of the entertainment world) Beyoncé Giselle Knowles has been able to inspire strong emotions and raise conversations on hot topics such as gender equality. She is a passionate, overwhelming woman, a burst of energy that we have all been inspired by at some point in our lives, to the tune of “If you want it, put a ring on it!”.
An exemplary and kaleidoscopic talent that shines in every role that sees her as the protagonist, in which, however, remaining one, Beyoncé manages to renew herself, to seem different each time from the character she played the previous time or the stage she walked the year before. In short, a true flow of emotion and grit.
There is no other bag that I do not see associated with a strong and impactful personality like her: INDIA. There is no doubt: the fringes of the iconic Dubeliè bag move in the wind at least as much as the majestic hair of the singer as she dominates the most important stages in the world, and the capacity and comfort of India tell of the empathy and the cheerfulness of the Woman, who has open arms for everyone and cannot be contained in anything smaller than... an international stadium!
3. Iris Apple
Perhaps the least known, but the one you will love the most after reading this article.
Iris is an American entrepreneur and interior designer recognized by specialized press as a style icon.
Imagine the most absurd color. The most absurd texture. The most absurd garment. And finally the most absurd occasion to wear all of this.
Here, Iris Apfel is definitely portrayed in a photo with an absurd garment of that absurd color in that absurd texture and, surely, on an absurd occasion. Indomitable, eccentric, funny and unconventional, the Woman turned more than 100 years old in 2021!
Unbelievable, right?
We attribute to her a very strong phrase, which I feel like sharing with you: “Once *** told me “You are not pretty, and you never will be. But it doesn't matter, you have something better: you have style:”
These words deeply move me because they are full of value for the philosophy that underlies Dubeliè.
It doesn't matter who you are, what your aesthetics are, what your age is, or where you come from: life is one and our task, on this earth, is to abstract all that is wonderful within us.
And the best way for us fashion lovers to do this is through our own style.
With a heart full of emotion and joy, I inform you that the next Dubeliè bag, coming out soon, will be a tribute to all the women who recognize themselves in the iconic Iris.

Ciao ! Molto interessante Marylin ma anche le altre . Riguardo alla frase anche se non sei carina hai stile e via dicendo…direi che alla fine è vero . Nessuno è perfetto, ma lo stile resta mentre le mode passano e soprattutto se una persona non ha buon gusto non puoi trasformarla da un giorno all’altro in una persona fine . Ma l’importante è volersi bene e accettarsi anche se magari non abbiamo proprio il buon gusto . È fondamentale che a noi piaccia indipendentemente dalla classe o no che trasmette un determinato abbigliamento però nella vita mai dire mai … non si smette di imparare .
