#16 SHOULDER BAGS: why not give them up?

I'm Sara, thank you for those of you who read the fifteenth article of the Dubeliè blog, in which, on the occasion of Mother's Day, I recommended the bags that I see on the different "categories" of mothers, if they can be categorized!
The result was funny, because remember: people in general, but especially women, should never be categorized based on sterile anagraphic data such as age, but should be looked at based on their tendencies, their passions and their personality.

What are we talking about in this article, Dubeliane?
Today we will talk about shoulder bags: a bit of history and curiosities, as if we were at school (but, I promise, much more fun!), but above all we will talk about how to choose the perfect shoulder bag for us, how to carry it and what are its main occasions of use!

1. SHOULDER BAGS: A CENTURY-OLD HISTORY
The history of the “shoulder strap” and, therefore, of the iconic shoulder bag began in 1929 thanks to Coco Chanel. Tired of having to hold the bag in her hand (and losing it, she says), she thought of adding a strap to carry it in the traditional way that we recognize as a “shoulder strap”. In reality, however, Coco took inspiration from the military saddlebag, which, equipped with a shoulder strap, allows the hands freedom of movement. Coco then launched the first women's version and, in 1955, a new edition in which the shoulder strap, instead of a leather strip, was shown in a new guise: that of the very elegant chain, which we would all recognize anywhere.

2. WHY CHOOSE SHOULDER BAGS?
If I think about how much money I spent on bags that lack a fundamental element such as a shoulder strap, I feel sick!
It contributes, in the current state of things, to a daily serenity that I would not be able to give up: the ability to move freely, manage errands and do things without any hindrance is priceless. How many times, with handbags, do we find ourselves cumbersome and in difficulty?
Dubeliè shoulder bags are created for this very reason: to guarantee you convenience and comfort in the frenetic life of every day, but without sacrificing the style and glamorous component of the accessory. This method is casual and sporty, and is suitable for all informal and social contexts, where elegance is not required. The same shoulder bag, however, can also be worn on the shoulder: this application, to be preferred on more elegant occasions, allows for a more refined fit of the same shoulder bag, which will stretch along your figure giving you height and posture.

4. HOW TO CHOOSE A SHOULDER BAG?

In fact, to the smallest of us (including me!) I recommend shoulder bags that are not excessively long, so as not to bring the weight of the body too low and appear even more petite. In the same way, to a particularly slim woman (for example) I recommend thinner shoulder bags, which will be more flattering on her bust than more generous shoulder bags (wider in cm) that will highlight the delicacy of the shoulders. In short: we use our shoulder bag friends to love ourselves even more and to give our figure an even more beautiful appearance according to our standards and our tastes (and never those of society).
